Death Company Artist Unknown
Here is my first Blood Angels (BA) list based on a 2,000 point force. I’m also working on a 1850, 1750, and 1500 point army as well. I’m going troop heavy, but may swap an assault squad for a Baal Pred. based on troop survivability as a whole. I’ve read other players classify the fifth edition (5E) as a finesse army- so I want to give myself a little room for mistakes.

My plan is to attach a Priest to my assault Terminators, wrap them up in a big ball of Land Raider Crusader and then use my scout squad to deep strike them in safely into the enemy’s flanks. I’ll attach additional Priests and a Chaplain to my assault troops and pile each of those four squads into a Razorback for fast attack. Three of my four Razorbacks will equip twin-linked assault cannons- my plan to focus fire devastation as much as possible. The fourth Razorback will field a flamer cannon which I will use to punish a troop heavy enemy unit. I’m only fielding two Baal Preds’ (rather than three), and I’d prefer the third. I’m sure after a few games I’ll find the tempo for this army and substitute an assault squad for a Baal Pred.
Nice list, some points/questions:
ReplyDeleteMy Experience with the Baals has been that the heavy bolter sponson's don't do a whole lot as I tend to want them to move twelve. The points saved could give your squads melta gun's/ flamers I highly recomend and more powerfists.
What powers do you use on the Librarian, if hes got a shooting attack like blood lance you could save another 15 pts on his pistol?
I like the scouts to get in the land raider. Too often I find the termies/LR don't make their points back without some way of getting them right in the thick of it.

ReplyDeleteSadly I don't own the death korps list so i can't really help with that one other than to say the Macharius "Vulcan" seems way overpriced for what it does, although the model is so good I want one and would play it all the time too!
