So a couple of cool things happened over the last three days: I won a 40K game for the first time, and I was chosen to test Battlefield 3 Alpha and let me tell you even in it's current state BF3 is bad ass.

Today, I'm going to meet up with Six-Deucer at Olympic Cards and Comics for a 2,000 point 40K throw-down. It has been some time since my last game, so I am excited to finally have the opportunity to once again deploy my Space Marines.

Off-Topic: BF3

A very quick off-topic post linking a video game that I am very excited about. The latest teaser for Battlefield 3 was released on the 20th.

Man, I wish they'd make a 40K game that looked and played like this! Could you imagine?

I have returned after a lengthy, but enjoyable vackay out of state. Today, my nephew and I donned our Terminator suits and boarded the Sin of Damnation to purge enemies of the Emperor and recover valuable relics for the Legion.

A Battle Foam Pack 432 Bag with foam is being auctioned with proceeds going to Jared Allen's Home For Wounded Warrior's Charity. If you're not familiar with Jared Allen, it is a non-profit organization that builds and/or modifies homes for war veterans- very cool indeed.

Last week, I met up with friends at Olympic Cards and Comics (OCC) and played my first 40K game in over six months. This week, I applied new elements to my list that I wanted to try. I kept the Vanguard Vets and removed the jump packs from the rest of my assault squads in favor of Rhinos. I wanted to revisit mech (MEQ) in order to compare and contrast with jump pack units.
